Hi there. My family and I are arriving into the Lakeland Linder Airport for our first trip to Disney World. I was wondering if anyone knew how much the shuttle was from there or if a taxi would be more cost effective? Thanks for your help!!

Hi Jennifer and congrats on your first magical visit to Walt Disney World!

The distance between Orlando West / Lakeland Airport and Walt Disney World is roughly 45 miles which can take about an hour depending on traffic.

Shuttle service from Orlando West / Lakeland Airport is provided by H and H Transport at a one-way fee of $110 base plus $5 for each additional passenger and a $1 fuel surcharge.

A Taxi from LAL to your Walt Disney World area hotel will run just over $100 before gratuity.

Another option to consider, is contacting TownCarNow.com.  This private car service has been known to offer R/T rates of $250 in a luxury SUV.  This may be a better option and I recommend speaking with them directly to determine the exact price.

One last suggestion:  LAL has a Budget rental car counter.  You could price out the cost of a one-day, one way rental to be dropped off at the Disney World rental location.  I have heard reports that this is the most cost effective solution to travel between LAL and WDW!
