Hello again, Anthony!
I am so glad that you asked this question!
Walt Disney World Guests can make dining reservations which include friends and family who will be joining them for the meal regardless of if the others are using a Dining Plan or if they are even staying at a WDW Resort hotel.
We often make dining reservations for our visits to WDW which include our family in Orlando, and it's never a problem because the Advanced Dining Reservations can be
linked to your WDW
My Disney Experience account, but are not
part of your original resort reservation. The two, essentially, are unrelated. (Your linking them simply allows you to access the dining reservations more easily.)
In short, I always book the dining reservations for everyone in our party so that it's easier to keep track of our dates, times, etc. In fact, Guests can even share the details of these reservations with Family and Friends by creating a Family & Friends List on My Disney Experience. This will enable everyone to be able to see the reservation details, but whoever created the reservation will be the only one who has access to cancelling or changing it.
In short? Plan away, Anthony! Make dining reservations for your entire party, share the details (if you want to ;-) ) and enjoy that FANTASTIC Disney Dining Plan.
Send more questions as you think of them, too; we love to help!
