Our family is arriving on a Fri. mid-morning - staying at Disneylany Resort. We are not going to the park until Saturday. Is there enough at the resort to keep kids busy through the day/evening? Thinking we would save character dining for the end of trip.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debra.

You'll find that there is plenty to keep your whole family busy at the Disneyland Resort, even outside the theme parks. Of course, the main event for your children is likely to be the themed pools available at your Disneyland Resort Hotel. My children could spend hours swimming and sliding, and the adults might even find a peaceful place to relax.

With the Disneyland Resort Hotels and the Downtown Disney District all within short walking distance of each other, you'll find a wide array of shopping and entertainment options. From bowling, to virtual reality, there is something for everyone. Favorites for my children have been building at the Lego Store and fighting for the Rebel Alliance in Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire.

But don't stay out too late, you will want to be fresh and ready to take advantage of Extra Magic Hour in the parks the next morning! Finally, a character dining experience at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels or even inside Disneyland Park sounds like great way to culminate your vacation.

    Have a magical time, Debra!
