My family will be arriving in Florida at 10:00 am, we are not due to check in until 3:00. Can you take advantage of the perks that come along with the MYW package (Blizzard Beach) or will we have to wait until we actually check into the resort?

    Hi Andrea!

Who wants to miss out on all the fun at Walt Disney World while waiting for their hotel room to be ready? No one, that's why Disney makes it convenient for guests to check-in and receive their Key to the World Card in order to get the fun started right away.  The Key to the World Card will be your room key, park tickets, Disney dining plan credits and charging privileges if you choose to add them.  While your room may not be ready just yet, everything else is ready to go for you to enjoy the fun.

Yes, go ahead and check-in to get right into the fun and magic!  In some instances my room has been ready early, but if it isn't you can have extra bags and luggage stored with bell services. A good idea if you plan to go to Blizzard Beach on your check-in day is to have a carry-on bag with everything you will need for a fun day playing at Disney's water parks.  Also, you can have the front desk to alert you with a text message to let you know that your room is ready to go and you can also have bell service bring up any bags or luggage you might have stored.

Don't forget also, that even once you check out that doesn't mean that your tickets or dining plan credits have expired as well.  Disney's Dining Plan credits do not expire until midnight on your check out day and your tickets won't expire until 14 days after your first day of use, provided you still have days left. Once again, bell services will be happy to store anything you need for a little extra fun in the parks on your departure day.  If you happen to have a late flight or leaving later in the day, spend just a little more time soaking in the magic of Walt Disney World!

I hope you have a magical vacation and please let me know if you need any help planning your Walt Disney World vacation!

    Best Wishes!
