Hi Jennifer,
As a Baltimore Ravens fan and a Walt Disney World fan, it gave me goose bumps to see Super Bowl M.V.P and Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco parade down Main Street, U.S.A. last year after the Ravens' Super Bowl win!
I have also been at Walt Disney World during the Super Bowl. Your husband certainly could watch the game at the ESPN Club at Disney's BoardWalk; however, it will be extremely crowded. He would need to be there really early to get a spot.
Many of the televisions around Walt Disney World are going to be showing the Super Bowl. He could go to nearly any of the resort lounges or pool bars at a resort and the game will be on. One that many people recommend is Territory Lounge at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This is a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom, so it would be easy for him to get to after your time at Magic Kingdom. Other recommendations include Big River Grille & Brewing Works at Disney's BoardWalk, where he can have a beer from their brewery and enjoy the game, or Splitsville in Downtown Disney, where you could bowl while he watches the game. Another option is to check out what is going on at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, where they will likely have viewing locations.
Typically, crowds are fairly low at Magic Kingdom on Super Bowl Sunday. This is probably a function both of the big game as well as it being a less popular time of year to travel. As to special events, there are none announced as of this time that I know. Keep your ears open, though. The
Disney Parks Blog is a good place to monitor for announcements of special events. Also as the Super Bowl draws closer, there will likely be a list of viewing locations released.
I hope that this information is helpful for you, Jennifer. Have a great time planning your trip, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
