My family will be arriving early in the morning on the first day of our reservation at the Polynesian, and we plan to go to Magic Kingdom prior to checking in that evening. May we park at the Polynesian that day and take the monorail to/from Magic Kingdom?

    Hi Kathleen!
    Welcome to planDisney.

I'm happy to say that if you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel very early on check-in day, before your room is ready, you are permitted to park your car there and head off to the parks using Disney Transportation.  From Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you can take the monorail or boat across to Magic Kingdom Park.  The usual check-in time is 3.00 pm (or 4.00 pm for Disney Vacation Club Villas), and If you use online check-in, you will be sent a text or email (whichever is your preferred communication) when your room is ready, so you can go and enjoy your day.  If it's been a long travel day you want to return to your hotel before watching the wonderful Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park, remember you have a fabulous viewing area from your beach!

If you want to ensure your luggage is safe you are welcome to leave your bags with Bell Services who will store them securely until you collect them.   You can either pick up your luggage from Bell Services yourself when you are ready to check-in or call them from your room. You will need to be present in your hotel room when they deliver your luggage.  Additionally, all hotel amenities are available to you before your room is ready - including the pool, the restaurants, the jogging trail, and all Disney Transport, theme parks, and other Disney Resort hotels.

The same applies on your last day.  Just stop by Bell Services after you have checked out of your hotel room, ask them to store your luggage for you, and go squeeze as much magic out of your last day as you have the energy for!

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can send me a direct question if you wish.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news about events that may be happening during your stay.
