Hiya Catherine - welcome back to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with another question for the panel - I hope you're finding our answers helpful as you plan your trip!
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios is an amazingly immersive land, and one of my favorite places to explore during a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There is unique shopping from the merchants at Black Spire Outpost, delicious food from Batuu (
Blue Milk and the
Ronto Wrap are my absolute favorites), and amazing attractions - there's always something to do whether you're with The First Order or part of the Resistance.
Building a custom BB-series or R-series astromech droid unit at
Droid Depot is one of the most popular experiences for visitors to Black Spire Outpost. Advance reservations are highly recommended, but there can be a limited number of same-day reservations or walk-ins available from time to time. In my experience, these have been rare. If there are no available reservations currently, I suggest continuing to check frequently, even during your visit. As other Guests' plans change, additional spots may open up in the next few days.
I suggest searching
all days you plan to be at Walt Disney World Resort. If you are able to secure a Droid Depot reservation, you may be able to create new
Park Pass Reservations for Hollywood Studios to align with your Droid Depot reservation - just make sure to check the
availability calendar to ensure the Park Pass Reservations you desire are available before canceling your current reservations!
It's important to mention that you are able to
make a Droid Depot reservation without already having a Hollywood Studios Park Pass Reservation on that day. However, in order to actually
use your Droid Depot reservation, you must have a valid park ticket and Park Pass Reservation for Hollywood Studios for the day of your Droid Depot reservation, or, if your tickets include the Park Hopper option, you should be set with any Droid Depot reservation after 2 p.m. on any day. More simply stated, you don't need to change your current Park Pass Reservations unless you find a Droid Depot reservation that requires you to change them. You can always head to
Guest Relations for more help from an expert Cast Member if this situation gets a bit confusing!
I hope this helps you on your planning journey! I'm so excited about your trip coming up in just a few days - you're going to have a magical time!
Please let me know if any other questions pop up that I can help with.
