My family will be arriving from Canada at Disney World for the first time, for the week of November 9-15th. Will the weather be nice enough for our daughter to make use of the pools? What special events can we see that week?

Yes, it is generally warm enough, my girls were swimming when we went at Thanksgiving last year.  The weather sometimes isn't quite so agreeable, there's always a cold snap, or rain.  We had warm weather, it was less humid, and it rained some. Last year, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) kicked off on November 12, which is about the middle of November.  The dates haven't yet been released for next years MVMCP, although you should be able to find these dates at www.waltdisneyworld.com, and click on the Parks Tab, and then Click on Magic Kingdom, then click on Park Closures (lower right hand corner it will fade into view), Then you will see on the upper left side a menu, select special events.  That will give you all the Special Events that will be happening during your stay.  I always have done this before my trips.  I usually go and check it out about the time I make my dining reservations.  Have a fantastic first trip to Disney!!!
