My family and I are arriving on April 19th and staying until April 26th at a deluxe resort. Is this a busy week to go? Also, are there any good spots to pick to sit to watch illuminations at epcot?

    Hi Danielle,

April is pretty much busy, regardless of the yearly changing dates of religious holidays.  It is such a popular month for schools to have spring breaks that WDW does have a constant flow of guests.  But relax, with careful planning to include some Extra Magic Hours (especially mornings) and use of fast-passes, you can avoid many long waits.  Also, make sure and make all of your advanced dining reservations 180 days before you arrive to not have to worry about having a place to eat at table-service restaurants.

The wonderful thing about finding a good spot to watch is Illuminations is the size of Epcot; there are many, many places to choose from.  Our favorite spot is the bridge that connects the United Kingdom to France.  It is actually also where the Illuminations boat Cruise are located  (ok, not on the bridge, but underneath it!).  However, I must caution you that if the wind is blowing toward the bridge, I would not go close to that location.  Illuminations can be smoky, so being downwind can make this beautiful experience rather ugly.
