Hi Barb!
Can a vacation at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort be anything BUT relaxing and wonderful?
For steaks and seafood, have you tried
Narcoossee's? It is located right there on property at the Grand Floridian, with beautiful views of Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom.
And to continue the celebration, you can enjoy Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks from the Magic Kingdom from the restaurant or while standing on the dock just outside. It is a wonderful place to enjoy this special event!
Another choice would be the
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. This restaurant is a absolutely wonderful, and from the rooftop of this resort you will enjoy unparalleled views of the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom as well.
My final recommendation is just in case you're in the mood for something a little adventurous!
Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is just the thing if you are willing to try dishes such as cedar-plank roasted salmon, seared Pacific swordfish, roasted buffalo tenderloin, New York strip steaks, scallops, and more! The atmosphere is very relaxing, with beautiful artwork and views of the pool and waterfalls outside.
I hope I have given you some ideas to get you started. Have a wonderful time celebrating your first evening at Walt Disney World!
