    Shaina from HI Asked

Our family (appx. 30 of us) wants to take a family cruise trip together in 2023 during the summer time. Is there a way we can each reserve and pay monthly? We need help planning. Thank you.

    Hi there, Shaina!

We are happy to welcome you on deck here at planDisney. A family vacation with Disney Cruise Line is what I would call the perfect vacation because it offers something for everyone, no matter their ages or interests. Besides, what better way to organize one big INCREDIBLE family than on a Disney ship?

So you are correct that each family unit would make their own reservations either online, with a Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist, or via a Travel Agent. The Early 2023 itineraries have been released, but we haven’t yet seen the summer ones, so you will have to wait a bit before making those reservations. Maybe you all could scope out the port you would like to sail from or the particular ship while you are waiting.

Once everyone has made their cruise reservations, then linking them all together is as easy as Edna Mode assisting the Parr family. You will take all the confirmation numbers and have them linked together. And the beauty of Disney Cruise Line is that you can make payments as often as you like, and everyone is in the driver’s seat when it comes to their individual reservations. Just be sure that the reservation is paid in full by the final payment deadline.

Then your family of superheroes can coordinate your dining and activities! I suggest you call Disney Cruise Line and request that you all be seated at adjacent tables in the rotational dining rooms. Because let’s face it, there’s not a table big enough onboard that will accommodate a party of 30!

As Mrs. Incredible says, it's important to "be a bit more flexible” when it comes to making onboard plans, especially when you have a large family traveling together. But make sure that you take time to get a family photo with the awesome photographers at Shutters Portrait Studio. Talk about a keepsake to document your family’s magical cruise together!

Finally, be sure that everyone downloads the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It has superpowers while onboard, enabling Guests to see activities and entertainment options, dinner menus, deck plans, and even offers a chat feature to send messages. You don’t even need a cape!

Shaina, we have only scratched the surface, so feel free to DASH back to planDisney anytime. We would be happy to work with you to plan one SUPER cruise!

    Happy Sailing!
