    My family and I are already trying to plan our trip to Walt Disney World for their 50th Anniversary in 2021. Since we have never been for one of the major anniversaries, I am wondering what month the festivities actually start and how long they last?

    Hello Bethany and thanks for bringing such an interesting question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. 
    It's so fun to know you and your dear family have already Ear-marked your calendars for the magical milestone of Friday 1st October 2021 which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the opening of 'the Florida project' - Walt Disney World Resort!  
    Whilst at this time I don't have any official Disney news to share on what's sure to be an extra magical half century yEar, but I'm sure that much like the 45th anniversary celebrations it could well be a whole yEar-long party.  My top tip for keeping up to date and being amongst the 1st to hEar all Disney news and announcements including the 50th anniversary celebrations is to tune-into the Disney Parks Blog. 
    There are exciting times ahead with all sorts of new experiences Coming to Walt Disney World Resort in the future and I know I can't wait for the 'Guardian's of the Galaxy' Attraction to open at Epcot as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations!  Those clever Disney Imagineers are working hard on this fantastic new attraction at Epcot and it's already set to be the world's longest enclosed rollercoaster.
