Hi Brenda, welcome to planDisney!
I think it's a great budgeting idea to make payments in advance of your Walt Disney World vacation. I also do this. In case you didn't know, you can use a
Disney Gift Card to make payments. I prefer this method as I like to buy Disney Gift Cards from retailers who offer them at a discount. This is the time of year where you may see extra discounts on them as well. For example, Sam's Club is offering a limited-time deal while supplies last. If you are a Sam's Club member, you may want to check it out. (Please note, this is not an endorsement for Sam's Club, I just like to find Disney Gift Card deals!)
Depending on what type of reservation you made for your Walt Disney World vacation, you may or may not be able to make payments online. If you booked a
Walt Disney World Vacation Package you should be able to pay online in the "
My Plans" section of My Disney Experience. Scroll down to your reservation information, click on the "Show Details" link and you should see a "Make Payment" link next to the balance due amount.
If you booked a room-only reservation, or you don't have a link available to make a payment, you can call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to speak to a cast member directly. They will be more than happy to accept a payment towards your reservation. This is also a great time to add any room requests you may have to your reservation.
Brenda, I hope you find this information helpful. Please write us again if any other questions come up as you continue to plan your magical Walt Disney World vacation!
