Welcome to planDisney, Stephanie and thanks for dropping by with your question!
Stephanie, I'm planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort this summer too and I can't wait to soak up all the Florida sunshine and check out the newest attraction, opening soon at
Magic Kingdom Park:
TRON Lightcycle/Run.
Now, Stephanie, I'm excited to hear that you're planning to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. My family and I love the amenities offered like
early theme park entry and
complimentary transportation to and from the parks! And... staying in the middle of the Magic is like an extra sprinkling of pixie dust!
If you are planning to reserve a room at the same resort as your family, I have two recommendations to increase the odds that your rooms are placed close together.
First, when you book your accommodations you'll receive a confirmation number. If you have a family member willing to share their confirmation number with you, you can then
contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and ask a Cast Member to request that your room be assigned near theirs. You can either call in or ask using the chat feature.
Next, I'll encourage you to select the same preferences during your
Mobile Check-in. Guests of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can use the Mobile Check-In feature on your My Disney Experience Mobile App. When you complete your online check-in, you'll see room request options. Make sure you coordinate your preferences with your family. If you both have the same preferences (namely location), the chances are much greater that your rooms will be close together.
Stephanie, I hope this helps as you're looking ahead to June. If you have any more questions I hope you'll come on back and see us here at planDisney where we love helping guests even more than Cinderella loved the ball!
