My family already has Florida Annual passes to DisneyWorld. My sister and her family of 7 are visiting from out of state. Can I purchase the 5 Florida Resident tickets for all visitors under the age of 18, and 2 regular tickets for my sister and spouse?

    Hi, Michael! Welcome!

It sounds like you are planning a pixie-dusted visit with your sister, and I'm a fan of that plan. Walt Disney World is an awesome place to get together, and I hope you have an amazing time. You can enjoy the 50th Anniversary Celebration during your visit if you haven't already. The Beacons of Magic are a must-see, and with new attractions like Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and the nighttime fireworks show, Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom, there's so much new and even more fun to share with your out of state family.

As you know since you are a Florida Resident annual pass holder, the Florida Resident ticket offer is designed only for those people who can show proof of Florida residency. Having said that, the residency requirement only applies to guests who are 18 and older. They will, however, have to have someone with proof of Florida residency with them in order to activate their tickets going into the park for the first time.

You can absolutely purchase theme park tickets for your sister and her spouse at the regular rate. Don't forget that they're a little cheaper per day the more days you add, so if you plan on going multiple days, don't go with the one-day passes.

Everyone will need a theme park reservation, so add that to your to-do list; and if you haven't had a chance to check out the new Disney Genie service yourself, now's the time to do so!

    Have so much fun, Michael!
