    My family (almost 3 year old daughter and 5 year old son) are traveling to WDW in October. Would you recommend POFQ or Wilderness Lodge? Is the Wilderness Lodge worth the price difference?

    Wow, Rebecca!  This is a tough one for me because you are choosing between two fabulous resorts. Considering you are comparing a moderate resort (POFQ) to a Deluxe Resort (Wilderness Lodge), you can expect to have unique experiences.

    Many Disney fans favor POFQ because of its small size, boutique-hotel vibe, fantastic theming, wonderful pool area, and popular food court area.  The drawback to the moderate hotels is the fact that they are usually much larger than the Deluxe Resorts, which results in longer travel times within the resort and between theme park destinations.  Since POFQ is among the smaller resorts, you will not run into this problem. 

    Wilderness Lodge, located in the middle of the MAGIC, is, in my opinion, one of the best hotels on property and is located only a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom.  The theming of Wilderness Lodge is reminiscent of the Great Northwestern Lodges and because it is a Deluxe Resort, you can expect to find all of the magical little extras that you would expect from a high-end hotel.  Wilderness Lodge is also home to several delicious restaurants including counter service, table service, and even a signature restaurant, Artist Point, which is among the best on property.  The rooms at Wilderness Lodge are slightly larger than those at POFQ and feature a balcony.

    While I would probably choose Wilderness Lodge, due to it's convenient location and elegantly rustic decor, I must say that POFQ has definitely won a special place in my heart as well!  You really can't go wrong with either choice!
