Hi! Family from Allentown, PA. You answered a ? re airline check-in at resort. Staying at Beach Club & flying out Airtran. I know you have to pay for baggage. Do you know how to do that & take advantage of resort check-in?

Hi Family from Allentown. Nice to hear from you!

    It’s just one extra step.

Quick and painless, except for the cost that is added to your credit card for the luggage fees. Ouch.

Guests who need to pay their luggage fees, including for Air Tran, are instructed to call Baggage Airline Guest Services at 407-284-1231 between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm prior to checking in at the Resort Airline Check-In desk.

When you call, record your confirmation number in case your fees are questioned at the RAC desk. Usually, my Reservation already has my pre-paid luggage fees noted.

For departing guests that forget to call ahead of time, the RAC desk will provide you with the phone number to call from the desk. However, they can not accept your luggage until your fees are pre-paid.

On my last WDW visit, I checked in online with Air Tran where I was also prompted to select my seat assignment (for a fee) and then pre-pay my luggage fees. I did this from my laptop. However, there is also a small business center at the Yacht and Beach Club resort.
