My family will be in AK the Sun after Thanksgiving. How long is the walk from Tusker House bfast to Nemo?My aunt has mental disabilities and walks slowly-I want her to experience as much of the park as possible but without rushing or overscheduling the day.

    Hi Sabrina,

How wonderful that you are planning this trip with your aunt in mind & trying to make this an incredible experience for her!  DAK is the largest of the 4 theme parks covering 500 acres - that's HUGE!

The Tusker House Restaurant is located in Africa near Kilimanjaro Safaris and Finding Nemo - The Musical is located on the edge of DinoLand U.S.A. which is on the opposite side of the park so its a bit of a hike.  On average the walk is about 15 minutes.  When you're leaving Tusker House, head towards the left side of the park because it is usually less congested with people.  You should allow yourself more time with your Aunt. As you said, you don't want to rush her so that she can experience as much of the park as possible.

You may want to consider renting wheelchair for her to use.  Even if she doesn't use one in her day-to-day life, she would probably benefit from using one at DAK.  It may make things easier for you as well.  Wheelchairs are available for rent at Garden Gate Gifts just inside the Main Entrance of DAK for $15.00 a day. Quantities are limited and they usually run out early in the day so make sure you get there early.

Please feel free to come back with more questions.  Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
