My family of 6 adults & 2 yr & 4month old r trying to visit Disney this thanksgiving. What is the best accommodation? We were thinking a hotel that the monorail goes thru? Will my 2 yr old b able to ride anything?thank u

    Hi Jennifer!

I personally think the best resort is the Wilderness Lodge.  I love the theming of the resort, it's location, and it's boat service to and from the Magic Kingdom.  It's wonderful!  However, it's not a monorail resort.

The monorail resorts are the Contemporary, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian.  Of those three, the Polynesian is my favorite and it is also, in my opinion, the most romantic resort at Walt Disney World.  Most guests absolutely love it once they've stayed there.

Your whole family, including the baby, will be able to experience many things together.  The 2 year old will be able to go on most, but definitely not all, of the attractions at Walt Disney World.  I realize that may sound strange if your only experience is with regional amusement parks, but Walt Disney World was especially designed with the entire family in mind!

You will want to make Advanced Dining Reservations as soon as possible.  ADRs can be made up to 180 days in advance and they are critical if you want to experience the Table Service (full service) restaurants at Walt Disney World.  Thanksgiving is a busy time for Walt Disney World so you want to do this as soon as possible.  ADRs can be made on line or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

Hopefully this will help you get started.  Write back with more detailed questions!
