My family (2 adults, 5 year old and 3yr old) will be going to disney for the first time December 27th thru January1st. Are there special events available for us to do for new year's eve? Thanks for your help!

Hello Tracy, welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel!

The last week of December features lots of special events at Walt Disney World, but it also features the highest crowd levels of the year.

On New Year Eve all theme parks have special events to welcome to the New Year, and remember that Animal Kingdom closes early.
Magic Kingdom reaches its crowd limit before midday and few guests get to access the park later in the day.  If visiting this park try arriving before opening hour and be ready for a very long day.
Epcot and Hollywood Studios usually feature lower crowd levels.
I always recommend arriving at the parks before opening hour.

Check park hours and events on New Year Eve, so that you know what to expect at each park.
Advance Dining Reservations inside the parks are highly recommended for this day, but there will probably not be much left at this time.
If interested try booking restaurant reservations at resorts close to the parks.

If your family enjoys listening to music make sure to visit the Candlelight Processional at Epcot.

Thank you for visiting and letting us help you plan a magical Christmas vacation at Walt Disney World.
