    Hi !, My family of 4 adults will be visiting Disneyworld for New Years. Is there anything special to do? Will there be any special parties or dining events? We'd like to make it a special celebration.

     

    Hi Ka!

     

    New Year's Eve is one of the most magical evenings of the year at the Walt Disney World Resort! There will be special fireworks lighting up the skies that night. Below you'll find some highlights of what you can expect on December 31, 2011.

     

    1. Magic Kingdom: Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at 8:30 p.m. and Fantasy in the Sky at 11:51 p.m.
    2. Epcot: IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at 7 p.m. and 11:42 p.m.
    3. Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Fantasmic! at 6:30 and 8 p.m. There will be a Lights! Camera! Happy New Year! fireworks display at midnight.
    4. Downtown Disney Area: Guests attending the Dec. 31 Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba performances will receive a limited-edition Walt Disney World/Cirque trading pin. Shows are at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
    5. Disney's BoardWalk: Atlantic Dance Hall is offering a special-ticket New Year's Eve party from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. with video DJ Tony Zapulla.
    6. Registered guests at select Disney resort hotels will be treated to live music and special entertainment. For example, there will be a four-course dining experience at Narcoossee's with special fireworks viewing at 8:30 p.m. and 11:51 p.m. For more information on other New Year's Eve dining experiences at Disney resort hotels, call (407) WDW-DINE.
