We are a family of 3 adults and two children looking to stay at Art of Animation. Is it possible to get two Little Mermaid rooms close together or are we better off with a family suite? Thanks

Hi Terri-Lynn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's find the best spot for your family's magical stay in the world of animation.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is such a unique and wonderful place. Kids of all ages (including the grown-up kind!) love all the larger-than-life characters in the courtyards of the different buildings. I always get a special kick out of walking through Radiator Springs to visit with Lightning McQueen and his pals. Ka-chow!

You could certainly book two standard rooms in the Little Mermaid section of the Resort hotel, and you'll have an opportunity to request connecting or adjacent rooms when you make your reservation. However, I think you'd be thrilled with one of the family suites available in the Cars, Finding Nemo, or Lion King sections. Each suite has a master bedroom with a queen-size bed; a table that folds down into a double bed (great for the kids) in the dining area; and a sleeper sofa in the sitting area. I think those sleeping arrangements will accommodate your family just fine, and you also get the other advantages of the suite. The kitchenette features a microwave, sink, coffee maker and small refrigerator, as well as the dining table I mentioned that doubles as a bed. Perfect for a quick breakfast or for noshing on leftovers from the delicious Landscape of Flavors.

Plus, each suite has two full bathrooms. Two! That's a game-changer for this Disney mom!

Terri-Lynn, I know you'll love your stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, whichever room type you choose. Wishing you many magical Disney days, and please come see us again if you have any other questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
