We are a family of 6 adults travelling from Canada to WDW and arriving February 5, 2015. How physically demanding is the Wild Africa Trek?

    Hi Glenn,

Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am so happy to hear you are considering experiencing The Wild Africa Trek, it is my absolute favourite tour at Walt Disney World Resort!  Please rest assured that although you will be walking on some uneven terrain for around two hours, I wouldn't classify this tour as heavily physically demanding.  The walk is like a hike up and down some small hills, the biggest challenge being the length of the walk.  I never felt winded or like I was struggling at any point during the tour.  The most extreme part would be walking across the bridge, as the boards are unevenly spaced, and my short legs found it tough to get across.  Even with that, there is netting that you are able to step on should the gaps be too wide, and you are always attached to a cable by a harness. I wouldn't let the physical component deter you from booking the Wild Africa Trek, it will definitely be a highlight of your visit!

If you do choose to book this tour, I would recommend booking an earlier time, to avoid the sun in the middle of the day.

I hope have you a magical time this February Glenn.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.
