My family of 4 adults will be traveling to WDW at the end of Sept. this year. We are staying at the Poly, having a hard time trying to decide what longhouse I am going to request. I heard there is alot of construction going also. Maybe a lagoon view.

    Aloha Shelley,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Lucky for you, Disney's Polynesian Resort is beautiful no matter which longhouse you are in. There is construction happening at the Polynesian right now. Last fall, Disney announced the addition of Disney Vacation Club Villas at the Polynesian. While it can be worrying to book at a resort under construction, in my experience Disney has always tried to avoid inconveniencing their Guests.

Disney does try to accommodate requests, but please remember they are not guaranteed. I have stayed in several of the longhouses and one of my favorites is Fiji. I love the view of the Marina and across the resort. The lagoon views are beautiful, but they are a separate booking category. If a lagoon view is important, you might want to check the availability and cost.

Please be sure to let me know if you have any other vacation planning questions.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
