We are a family of 6 adults and 6 children(11,11,9',7,5 and 3). What resort is really the best to save on travel time to MK.

Hello Sally and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My goodness me that's quite the Disney dozen you've got there!  I totally understand your question as my own dear family is 6 in total and we too love to be near our most beloved enchanted spot - The Magic Kingdom Park so I suggest staying in The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
The well equipped home away from home-sweet-home Cabins comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults - which of course means your lovely family of 12 will need to be cosy-cabin neighbours during your trip to Walt Disney World Resort!
And most importantly Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is only a short ferry boat ride away from all the razzamatazz of the Magic Kingdom Park.
If I can help sprinkle any extra pixie dust onto your plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort please pop back to ask me another question.
    Have a great Disney day.
