We are a family of 6- 2 adults and 4 kids. (one will be in a crib)- which room should we stay in? We are looking at the Polynesian Studios or standard rooms or the Art of animation Suites.

    Hi Katherine!

We are so happy to continue to help you plan a pixie-dusted visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! There is nothing more exciting and convenient than staying at a Disney Resort hotel and enjoying magical benefits during your stay.

There are a few aspects I consider while choosing a Disney Resort hotel: party size and Guests’ ages and needs, season of the year, location and price. I tend to select options that fit my budget, but I prefer to stay somewhere that can comfortably accommodate my travel party. While traveling with kids, and especially little ones, I enjoy accomodations that offer at least a small kitchenette. I find this to be an extremely convenient feature because it allows me to save time by fixing breakfast for my family and keeping snacks and beverages close at hand. My girls are usually very hungry right after waking up, so being able to easily prepare something before getting ready to leave also ensures we have a calm start to our day.

I absolutely love Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. They are stunning and offer some of my favorite dining locations, as well as convenient access to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT via monorail transportation. The Deluxe Studio is a good option for your family, but I would personally consider staying at a Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort due to the size of your party.

The Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are larger than the deluxe studio and feature not only a small kitchenette but also two bathrooms and a separate bedroom. Having a separate bedroom is great whenever part of the family wants to take a nap while others want to play and maybe watch some TV. My husband and oldest daughter enjoy sleeping in, but our baby is ready to start her day at 6:30 a.m. I think it is great that they are able rest a little longer while I can play with the baby and get her ready for the day. I also believe that having an extra bathroom is very convenient when you have more children and it definitely speeds things up when you need to get everybody ready. This Disney Resort hotel is so magical and fun! Your kids will find themselves right in the middle of beloved classics like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo and Cars, will be able to swim in the Big Blue Pool – the largest pool at the Walt Disney World Resort – and your family will have the option of using the Disney Skyliner to travel to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel once again, Katherine! We are delighted to help you plan magical memories for your family, so please hurry back if you have additional questions.

    Best Disney wishes,
    Thiana
