Hey there, Jason. Welcome to planDisney!
Planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation can be a breeze with the tools and guidance available through the Disney Vacation Planning site and
planDisney Video Library!
I’d suggest starting your planning by researching the various
Disney Resorts Collection hotel options available but pay close attention to the Family Suites offered at
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. These Family Suites sleep up to six adults and feature a separate bedroom and living room, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette. The bedroom will have a queen-size bed, while the living room will have a double-size convertible TableBed and a double-size sleeper sofa. Another great option would be to entertain the
Deluxe Villas that feature 1-, 2-, and 3-Bedroom options. My family enjoys these accommodations because of the full kitchens and the washer and dryer in the suite, so we don’t have to worry about packing too much or too little. Our favorites are
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and
Disney’s Beach Club Villas.
Once you decide which Disney Resorts Collection hotel fits your family and budget, head to the
Disney Vacation Planning site. It will walk you through selecting your hotel, choosing the type of tickets to purchase, and whether or not to add one of the two available dining packages. I suggest adding the Park Hopper Option to our tickets because I like the flexibility of starting at one park in the morning and switching to another later in the afternoon after enjoying a mid-day pool break at our resort.
Jason, if you have any additional questions about the initial planning process, want help choosing between a few hotels, or would like ideas about how to structure your day or where to eat after you decide on your hotel,
drop me a line. I’d happily share more opinions on my top resorts (and why) and top dining spots to enjoy!
Cheers,
Brent
