We are a family of 4 2 adults 2 kids kids ages 10 and 11. We have the ddp quick service plan. My kids reall dont eat lot of food at one time and neither do i as an adult. Is it worth haveing the plan or would it be better for us to pay as we go.

    Hi Christie!

I'm so happy for you guys and your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

I'm a big fan of the Disney Dining Plan.  Our family has tried eating every which way you can at Disney, and, with my husband being a big number cruncher dude, we've determined that it has always been the best value for us.

Like you guys, we don't tend to eat a lot of food at one time.  Have you considered the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan?  It provides you with two Quick Service meals, one Snack per person per night of stay, as well as a Refillable Mug, good for your length of stay.  And, it doesn't sacrifice on choice, with many amazing Quick Service venues located throughout the Parks and Resorts!

We have found that we get plenty to eat, and have the benefit of convenience and savings when we use this particular Disney Dining Plan.  We do sometimes supplement by purchasing some affordable extras at a grocery or convenience store, like string cheese, crackers, and breakfast bars, in case we get a little hungry between meals.

I hope this is helpful, and I wish you all a magical Disney vacation!
