My family ( 10 adults & 3 kids from 2y-11) will be going on our first cruise. It will be the 4- night Bahamian cruise from Miami. Do we need to bring carseats for the little ones if we book a pre-cruise hotel & ground transportation with Disney?

Greetings, and welcome to planDisney, Ann!

Congratulations, you're going on your very first Disney Cruise Line vacation, how exciting! We recently sailed on the Disney Magic from Miami and thoroughly enjoyed our pre-cruise stay at a beautiful hotel near the Port.

Disney Cruise Line is a great place to begin planning your Pre- and Post- Cruise Hotel Stay and you may wish to arrange transportation between the airport, hotel and Port. In order to figure out whether you will need your child's car seat or not, you will need to discuss the types of transportation options with a Cast Member at Disney Cruise Line as many modes of transport may not be on a motorcoach. When we sailed from the Port of Miami on our most recent sailing, we arranged our own transportation using a reliable Ride Share service that offered a child's car seat. Ultimately the decision is yours to make based on your family's needs and travel style.

Disney Cruise Line also offers many Miami-area hotels which offer free shuttle service from the airport, and then to the Port. I recommend contacting Disney Cruise Line for direct assistance with suggestions for such hotels if you are interested. We enjoyed spending a few days in Miami enjoying the artistic and vibrant city which offers unique New World cuisine and sights, especially the beautiful South Beach area!

    Tips:
Begin your Online Check-In at 30-days before sailing (subject to change) to complete all needed forms, book your Port Arrival time and begin pre-registration for your children if you are interested in them participating in the enriching Disney Cruise Line Youth Clubs onboard.

Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to manage all your plans before and during your sailing, and the app comes in handy during your sailing for daily activity and entertainment schedules, managing booked activities and Port Adventures, and especially communicating with your travel party using the Onboard Chat feature.

Ann, I hope this information serves you well, it was my pleasure assisting you today, please stop by for any further planning needs, it would be our honor to assist you further, thank you kindly!
