Maridi from NY Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We’re a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids aged 5 & 7). We are NOT California residents. I’ve made a dinner res at Storyteller’s and a breakfast res at Goofy’s Kitchen. Hoping neither of those require us to be hotel and/or park guests. Open to public?

    Hey, Maridi! Welcome to planDisney.

Congrats on securing reservations to Storyteller's Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel. Enjoying a meal at these locations is a great way to meet beloved Disney characters, such as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip 'n' Dale. Sometimes, meeting one of those characters in the theme park can involve waiting in a long line. However, the beauty of a character dining experience is that you can meet multiple characters without waiting in line.

Maridi, you'll be pleased to know that these restaurants are open to anyone. You do not need to be a Guest staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel. You can simply turn up at the restaurant with your reservation and enjoy your meal. The last time we visited Disneyland Resort, my family ate at Goofy's Kitchen (even though we were staying offsite) and we had a great time. The food was delicious and my little Mouseketeers loved interacting with the characters. I'm sure your family will have a similar experience. You'll get a uniquely special photo with Goofy in his kitchen before you are seated.

I hope that's helpful, Maridi. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
