Hiya, Taylor, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to have you hEAR! Your Disneyland Resort adventures will be here before you know it!
I’m glad you’re doing your resEARch ahead of time! You’re correct that the Disneyland Express will stop running after January 7, 2020. In addition, SuperShuttle will also stop running its vans as of December 31, 2019. However, I’m happy to report that the Disneyland Resort has
a great alternative to recommend. It’s a shuttle line called Karmel Shuttle, and it’s similar to SuperShuttle in terms of the type of service and types of vehicles provided. If you already had plans to use Disneyland Express, you can call the Reservation Sales Team at (714) 520-5050 to ask about changing to Karmel Shuttle instead.
Another option for
traveling to the Disneyland Resort would be to use a rideshare service, such as Uber or Lyft. Just keep in mind that if you’re flying into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), you’ll need to take a complimentary shuttle bus to a new ride-hailing and taxi-pickup area just east of Terminal 1. So, allow extra time for your return to the airport if you choose this option.
I’m so excited for you and your family to experience the newest addition to
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, opening January 17, 2020 in Disneyland Park! You’re going to have the time of your life experiencing this galaxy far, far, away. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you’re thinking about heading to
Oga’s Cantina at the Disneyland Resort, or building a custom astromech droid at
Droid Depot. You can even make your own lightsaber at
Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. My son and I recently experienced this activity together, and it was magical!
Please stop by with any additional questions, Taylor. Can’t wait to see ya’ real soon!
