My family (2 adults, 2 children 4 & 6) will be visiting WDW in September during the free dining plan. Do you recommend making reservations ahead for all of our meals? Even dining without the characters?

    Hi Simeon!

I would absolutely recommend that you book all of your table service meals ahead of time - even your non-character meals. Reservations for many of the restaurants at Disney World can be hard to come by, and this is especially true during the free dining promotion.

Reservations can be made as early as 90 days in advance from the day your vacation package starts. Since you are visiting in September, you can make your ADRs (advance dining reservations) right now. I would suggest calling Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) as soon as you have an idea of where you would like to dine. You can also make your dining reservations online by clicking HERE and searching for your restaurant of choice.

Please be aware that many of the restaurants may already be completely booked for your vacation dates. It may be helpful for you to have a few options in place in case your first choice in unavailable. If you aren't able to secure ADRs for some places you can keep trying back to see if there have been any cancellations as sometimes things do open up!

Have fun planning the rest of your vacation!
