We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 4 children, 12, 9, 8, 3). This is our 1st time to Florida, we're staying for 8 days in Nov '12 & are on a serious budget, we're trying to find reasonably priced villas outside of Disney. Any suggestions on nice places to

My family of six has stayed off property before, Stacee.  We've had great experiences at the Sheraton Vistana Villages.  We've stayed in both a one-bedroom villa and two-bedroom and the two-bedroom was by far our favorite.  They feature full kitchens, spacious rooms and even a washer and dryer.  They are also located fairly close to the Downtown Disney entrance to Walt Disney World.  The one piece of advice I would caution you with is that you're going to be much better off if you rent a car (probably a minivan, given your family size), no matter which off-property location you choose.  As for the room rate, you might want to check allears (Google it if you're not familiar); they sometimes offer discounts under the accommodations heading.  Good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
