Hello my family of 11 (5 adults 6 children) are planning a trip to Disney World in December 2020. I have priced a couple of scenarios. Either 2 rooms at Pop, 3 rooms at Caribbean Beach or 2 Suites at AofA. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!

    Hi Katrina!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you so much for bringing this great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR! Oh Boy, this is a magical vacation indeed, visiting Mickey's House for the Holidays with so many of your favorite Mouseketeers.

Before I book a Disney Resort Hotel, I take into consideration all kinds of factors: the resort's theming, hotel-to-theme park travel options, pools and other resort activities offered, distance to other Disney Resort Hotels, comfort level for the travel party, etc. All three of your choices have a long list of pros, and all three are serviced by the brand new Disney Skyliner, which sends you soaring to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT in record time.

But if this were me, traveling with so many children, I would pick two Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation in a heartbeat. I think that your group will love exploring the different themed buildings of this resort hotel and taking pictures as though they are in the middle of iconic moments from the movies Cars, The Lion King, Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid. Family suites are also the only non-Disney Vacation Club rooms that have a kitchenette area with a microwave, which helps so much should you need to make a bottle or special meal for a more selective eater. But probably the thing you'll love most about these Family Suites is that they each have two full bathrooms.

Another pro of Disney's Art of Animation Resort Hotel is that it's steps away from Disney's Pop Century Resort Hotel, which you're welcome to visit. While the pools at Pop are only for guests staying there, you can visit their playground, check out their larger-than-life statues of Disney decade icons, and dine at their food court. And being a Skyliner resort hotel, you can easily get to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Riviera Resort even Disney's BoardWalk should you want to dine around. Pro Tip: If you're on a Disney Dining Plan, don't forget your Resort Refill Mug as it will work at the beverage islands at all Disney Resort Hotel Quick-Service dining locations.

I hope that this helped to plan your future Disney Days, Katrina. And do let us know if you have any more Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions. We're All Ears!
