Family of 7 : 3 adults 4 children (infant,3,4 and 12) this will be the first visit for the children - Dates are 4/19-21 or 8/19-21 assistance is needed to plan the entire trip ; budget of 3500.00 - and any tips for first timers is appreciated

Hi Nichelle! How wonderful that you will be taking the entire family on this trip! The children are sure to fall in love with the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort! Considering the size of your travel party and your budget, I would recommend looking into Disney's All Star Music Resort Family Suites. These suites can accommodate up to six guests plus a child under three in a crib. Alternatively, you may consider The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort which could easily accommodate your entire travel party. I would also suggest adding Disney's Dining Plan to your Disney Vacation Package as it can save up to 20% per adult on Disney dining. In addition consider the following, your April dates are during the 'regular' season whereas your August dates take place during 'value' season. I would suggest pricing various packages here http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/  in order to determine what would be best suited to your family's preferences. Be on the look out for Special Offers during your travel dates. Special Offers can vary depending on the time of year and they will be listed on the website listed above.

My favorite tip for first timers is to arrive at the parks for the Rope-Drop opening ceremonies and to take advantage of early entry Extra Magic Hours. Since you are traveling with small children, be sure to take some time for a mid-day break, either in the parks or at the resort. This is particularly important when traveling during the hot Summer months. I would also recommend making Advance Dining Reservations on-line here http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/   and be sure to book at least one Disney Character Dining experience. The kids will love it! Have a great time at Walt Disney World!
