We have a family of 6. 3 adults 3 children(5,4,1). When booking Disney resort online, my choices seem to be limited to Family Suites. We really dont need a suite, a room with 2 queen beds and a daybed would be fine. How would I go about booking this.

Howdy, Mary! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am delighted that you are considering staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel during your next visit. No matter which of the three you choose, you will love the short stroll to the parks and having Extra Magic Hour every day of your stay! The maximum occupancy for most standard rooms is five people, and that includes infants. This maximum is set by the State Fire Code and is strictly enforced. So for your family of six, you would need to book one of the suite options or two standard rooms. The suites will not only allow you all to sleep safely and comfortably, but will provide adequate room for luggage and necessities and space for the kids to spread out and play. I suggest giving the Vacation Packages line a call at (714) 520-5060 to see if they can search all available room options for you.

You may also want to look into Good Neighbor Hotels. While you won’t have access to Extra Magic Hour, there are a lot of Good Neighbor Hotels that are within walking distance to the parks. There are also options that include free continental breakfast and other perks that might work well for your family. You can still book a vacation package through a Good Neighbor Hotel that will lump your accommodations and theme park tickets into one price. You will pay $200 at the time of booking and then you can make payments in any amount and frequency that you wish as long as your package is paid in-full 30 days before your arrival date.

I hope this clarifies things for you. Have a dandy time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
