My family has an ADR at the Tusker House at 11:50am. We have 6 & 2 y/o boys. Could we see the 11:00am showing of Finding Nemo -The Musical and make it to our lunch reservation on time? Or would it be better for us to catch another show after lunch?

    Hi John,

Jambo! Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite Disney Parks and I'm so glad you're carving time to see Finding Nemo - The Musical. With its original score and vibrant, colorful theatrics, your two boys will be awestruck with the performance.

The show is 30 minutes, and with the time of your dining reservation you'd likely be fine. You'll need to trek back through Discovery Island and then on to Africa, and depending on the crowds, could pose a challenge. Will you make it? Yes, with a giant pep in your step. Would I suggest a later time in the day? Probably! You don't want to miss the "waking hours" of the animals in the Parks, so I generally like to save my shows until the end of my touring. If you plan to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom for the entire day, note the two least crowded showtimes are the first and last of each day. A Times Guide at the front of the Park will provide you all showtimes for the morning and afternoon.

If time permits, try to also catch both Flights of Wonder and Festival of the Lion King for the entertainment and talents possessed by the actors, singers, dancers and animal trainers of the respective shows.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Cast Members are a wonderful resource of knowledge and won't hesitate to engage children in educational conversations. The Park is a hidden gem, and I always suggest to take your time at Disney's Animal Kingdom and immerse yourself in all the fine details around you!

Have a wonderful time, John, and as Crush would say, "You so totally rock, dude," for planning a totally awesome vacation. Visit us again with your planning questions!
