    Hi. Our family of 4 has ADR for Chef Mickey's. I would like to reserve a holiday sleigh ride at FW. Does the boat go directly from Contemp to FW (&how long will it take)? If not, what is the best route to take? Thanks so much, you guys are great!

    Hi Michelle,

    What a fun evening you have planned for your family! The water taxi from the Contemporary does go directly to Fort Wilderness and leaves from the boat dock behind the hotel. If I recall correctly, the Fort Wilderness boat will be on your right.

    The ride takes just a few minutes, and the boats depart about every 20 minutes, but I would allow about 45 minutes total for travel time, just in case you need to wait for the boat. The boat docks near Pioneer Hall, where you will catch your sleigh ride.

    When you are ready to leave Fort Wilderness, you may want to catch the boat to Magic Kingdom to connect with a bus or monorail back to your resort.
