Hi, my family & I added deluxe dining plans to our experience but what qualifies as a snack? Can I use a snack as a meal replacement? Like for a light breakfast or lunch? How can I tell what menu options are valid with my dining plan?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Janice Lea!

I'm so glad you've come to us today to talk about my favorite attraction at Walt Disney World Resort: the food! There are really some amazing restaurants and snacks in the theme parks and Resort Hotels, and when you're using the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, you're going to get the chance to try so many of them. There are a lot of flexible ways to use your Dining Plan credits, so let's chat about how you can make the most of them when you're on vacation.

When you use the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, each person in your party will receive three Meal credits and two Snack credits for each night of your stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. All of those credits are allotted to you when you check in, and it's up to you how you want to use them throughout your vacation! If you want to use a Snack credit to get a light breakfast in the morning, you're definitely allowed to do that. When my husband and I go to Magic Kingdom Park, we'll often skip a Table-Service breakfast in favor of Warm Cinnamon Rolls and LeFou's Brew at Gaston's Tavern. It's totally up to you when you use those credits! You'll know something qualifies as a Snack because it will be marked with the purple and white Disney Dining Plan logo on the menu at the dining location, or it's labeled with "Qualifies as a Snack" when you use mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app. You can also always ask a friendly Disney Cast Member if you have any questions in the moment.

Have a magical day, Janice Lea!
