Will my family be able to watch me run the princess half marathon if they don't have park tickets?

    Royal greetings, Carrie!

A warm welcome back to planDisney and thank you for coming to us with your question about the 2024 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. I'm so excited to hear that you'll be participating in the Disney Princess Half Marathon! There really is nothing like running through Cinderella Castle at dawn with thousands of your closest friends. Carrie, as a runDisney enthusiast myself, as well as a past spectator at previous runDisney events, I'm happy to shed some light on the spectator situation!

I recently cheered on a friend during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and can assure you that spectating at runDisney race weekends is as easy as Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, especially when staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Carrie, I recommend having your family members utilize the Runner Tracking feature provided on the Spectator Info page on the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend website, or enabling location sharing between you and your family members on your mobile devices during the race. This will allow your royal subjects (er, I mean, loyal spectators) to track you on course. This will allow them to see your progress and know when to expect you!

The 2024 Disney Princess Half Marathon course will take you to some pretty pixie-dusted places, Carrie. You're going to pass directly through Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park between miles five and six, and through EPCOT between miles 12 and 13. I'm thrilled to inform you that, if your family members hope to see you run right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. on race morning, they won't need theme park admission before 7:30 a.m.! The Spectator Viewing Information and Tips provided in the Digital Expo & Event Guide provides insight into how spectators can access different viewing locations. If your family members plan to drive themselves to the viewing location, I encourage them to check out the Road Closures map in the Digital Expo & Event Guide before race morning to plan accordingly. If you'll be staying at a Disney Resort hotel and your family hopes to watch you run through Magic Kingdom Park, I encourage them to utilize runDisney race transportation if possible.

Carrie, I'm wishing you an enchanting Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend with your family! If you have any additional runDisney-related questions, feel free to reach out to me directly, or to my fellow panelist, Kaitlin. Between the two of us, we participate in almost every race weekend, and we're always thrilled to talk runDisney. I'll be cheering you on and wishing you the race experience of your dreams!

    Wishing you many magical miles,

    Lauren
