Our familt is visiting late September of 2014. We will have young children with us 2 boys 5yrs, 1 girl 3 yrs and 1 baby less than 6 months. We want this to be all about the kids so what parks would you suggest and how long should we allow for each park?

    Hi Donald!

How exciting you will be visiting Walt Disney World in 2014, Donald! As a mom of four children which includes a set of eight-year-old twin boys, I can tell you from firsthand experience that you will want to devote at least one full day to truly experience everything Magic Kingdom Park has to offer. Because Magic Kingdom Park has the most attractions geared toward young children, you may want to consider spending a second day at the iconic park! I would also suggest visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios in order to experience Toy Story Midway Mania!, Disney Junior - Live on Stage, The Great Movie Ride, Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure, Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage and Fantasmic!. My family can also spend an entire day at Disney's Hollywood Studios since there are so many exciting shows to experience! Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is "not to be missed" in my personal opinion. We usually spend five or six hours at this beautiful park, which features exotic animals, thrilling attractions and entertaining shows! My personal favorites include Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, Finding Nemo - The Musical and Festival of the Lion King. Be sure to take advantage of  "child swap" or rider switch on attractions that your little ones do not meet the minimum height requirement. The rider switch allows one adult to wait with any youngsters too small to experience an attraction, while the rest of the party rides the attraction. The adults then "swap" places. The second set of riders will be allowed to enter through the FastPASS entrance; therefore, decreasing the overall wait time. When my twins were too small to ride certain attractions, my older two children loved being able to ride twice while my husband and I loved being able to experience the attractions with them. I hope this helps!  Best wishes for a magical trip, Donald!

    Happy Planning,
