This is our families 1st trip to WDW. We will be there the week of 4th of July. In planning which theme park we will visit each day, should we stay out of the parks on 4th due to crowds and can fireworks be viewed from Dwntwn. Disney? or in a theme park?

    Hi Diana,

The Fourth of July is a busy time at Walt Disney World but it's such a great time to be there. This year, there will be Fourth of July fireworks and Red, White, & Blue lighting the Castle the entire week as part of the Limited Time Magic. So even if you miss the actual Fourth you will be able to see the fireworks all week.

While the Fourth has always had larger crowd levels, this year should be a little less crowded due to the fact that the fireworks will be spread out over the entire week. I myself would probably use the day as a rest day and maybe head over to the Polynesian Resort to catch the fireworks. You will be able to catch a great show from a distance. You cannot see the fireworks from Downtown Disney.

I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip and if you have additional questions, we are always here to help!
