Hi, Lucy!
I’m happy to hear you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort this winter. The holiday season is one of my favorite times to enjoy all the special extras the theme parks have to offer that time of year. The seasonal decorations, events and treats make “The Happiest Place on Earth” even more delightful!
December can be a great time to visit because the holiday decorations and other festive extras, like special shows, attractions and food items, are in full swing. Although the theme parks are typically quite busy between Christmas and New Year’s Day, daily operating hours will be long and the entertainment schedule will be bustling to help you fit as much magic as possible into your visit. The high temperatures in December are typically in the low- to mid-70s, with evenings in the high-40s to low-50s. There can be a fair amount of rain in December in Southern California, but the rainiest months of the year are usually January and February.
You have the option of bringing your own stroller or renting one on-site each day. Stroller rentals are available outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. Rented strollers may be used in both Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park, but they cannot be taken to the Downtown Disney District or the resort hotels. If you would rather rent a stroller than bring your own but want the flexibility of taking it everywhere throughout the Disneyland Resort, you may want to consider renting from an outside company. I’ve had great experiences with City Stroller Rentals thanks to their clean, high-quality rental items and wonderful customer service.
I hope this information is helpful, Lucy, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to the Disneyland Resort! Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
