Hi, we'll be 2 families traveling together. We linked our reservations, but we are wondering how to book our dinning plan. Since we are 8 persons , can 1 make the reservation for the group( from my account) and then we will apply our meal plan seperatly?

The short answer to your question, Patricia, is that yes, you can make reservations for the entire group and have the checks split accordingly upon the completion of your meal.  In my experience, the servers at Disney restaurants have always established right at the start of the meal who is paying together and who is using dining plan credits.  I trust your experience will be handled similarly.  If not, though, just be sure to let the server know that you will require separate checks and he or she should handle the dining plan credits accordingly from there.  Do keep in mind that while you will be paying separately, your party of eight will be charged an automatic gratuity because there are at least six people in your group.  Enjoy your trip!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
