    Hello! This is my families second time to Walt Disney world but our first time we are staying at the Animal kingdom lodge. We are going to be there 10/06/12-10/13/12 I was just wondering what are some fun activities that we should do while staying there?

    Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel. 

    You made a great choice. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a fabulous resort and a definite fan favorite. It has two great Table Service restaurants in Jambo House and one at Kidani Village. Be sure to make some reservations.  There is also a nice Quick Service location at Jambo House. Most children enjoy seeing all of the animals at the resort and the pool!

    One of my favorite activities is viewing the animals at night via night vision goggles. It is a free and fun activity for guests of all ages. On select nights there is marshmallow roasting right outside the lobby. There is also African story telling with Disney Cast Memebrs from African countries. The stories are told around a fire pit. 

    When you get to the hotel be sure to look at the calendar of activities. There are fun things going on every day. I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
