3 families with reservations together, each family with own dining plan,. How is the gratuity added since 8 people, a % to each plan, or all to one plan?

    HI Kimberly,

That is a great question! Think of it just like a standard restaurant at home, If you have three couples and each has a separate check. The server will just add gratuity in the same manner as they would anywhere else. I believe that the standard Gratuity included for parties of 6 or more is 18% which is pretty good. I have seen where some restaurants in my area are putting a 25% tip for parties of 6 or more.

Since you are all on the Disney Dining Plan, each family will have separate checks. The checks will have any additional charges such as alcohol and any other non-Disney Dining Plan items which were purchased. Then, there will be a tip which is based on the entire bill for that family. You may also add any other tip to the 18% depending on the service which you received.

Thank you, Kimberly for asking the Moms Panel! if you have additional questions, we are always here to lend a helping had! I hope you have a wonderful day!
