    We have 2 families plus grandma going to WDW 3/09. Reservations at Beach Club, regular room, no room at villas. What's better, Beach Club or Saratoga Villa? Kids: boys-12,12,8,5. On dining plan, please give restaurant ideas too. Thanks!

    I've taken grandparents to Disney World over the years, and your family is in for a real treat. What memories!

    You didn't mention cost when you asked what was better, the Beach Club or the villas, so we won't go there...But at first glance, with four boys, two families, and a grandmother, you might want to consider the fact that the Saratoga Villas include a spacious living room and kitchen, allowing for more privacy if someone wants to take a nap in the connecting bedroom(s). Two rooms at the Beach Club, even if they are connected, also won't give you as much "common" area to relax, visit, not to mention house a kitchen that you can stock.

    My only hesitation in recommending the villa is that you're going on the dining plan. When our family has stayed at the properties with kitchens, we like to take that into account in our budget and plan a few "home-cooked" meals. But if you've got four hungry boys on the dining plan, you can use the kitchen for breakfast, late-night snacks, or allow you the freedom to choose some double-credit dining options.

    And speaking of dining, my three boys are almost the same ages as yours. Their recommendations: Sci-Fi Dinner Theatre at Disney Studios for the obvious movie entertainment, Germany at Epcot for the floor-show and all-you-can-eat buffet, Peco's Bill's at Magic Kingdom because you can "build" your own burger at the condiment bar, and Ohana's with its open kitchen and children's floor games.
