Hi there! We (2 families of Mum, Dad & a 2yo girl each) are traveling to Disney World in Nov & have tickets for MVMCP. Have you taken toddlers to this event before? Can they cope with it?! Mums say yes, Dads not sure it's a good idea - who's right?

    Hi Kiera!

Personally, I think the party events at Magic Kingdom are wonderful fun for EVERYONE!  We've taken our kids since their very first trips and had a great time, BUT there are some things we do to make sure that we are all 'in the party mood' so to speak:

    1.  Make the hours before the party low key
    2.  Take a later and LONGER (if possible) nap
    3.  Realize that meltdowns can and do happen and have a plan to deal with them
    4.  Be willing to leave if your kids just can't handle it
    5.  DO NOT plan an early morning following the evening of the party
    6.  Let your kids set the pace
    7.  Plan an additional snack time to deal with hungry tummies

That being said, we've stayed with our little ones until the party was over (many a time) and not had any issues, but we take it slow and try to enjoy the atmosphere.  I think it'll be fun for everyone as long as realistic expectations are set.

    Have a magical vacation!
