Hi, my families first visit to Disney World will be this October 2016. We are staying at Port Orleans: Riverside and will be arriving at Orlando airport pretty early around 9AM. What is the best way to try and get into a room earlier than check in time.

Hello Renae, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love that you are starting your vacation bright and early! Morning flights are my favorite, especially when my destination is Walt Disney World.

There have been times when I arrived prior to check-in at my Disney Resort Hotel and my room was ready and other times when I had to wait. Your best bet is to complete the Online Resort Check-in process in advance of your trip. When you do this, you will be able to select an arrival time. This does not guarantee that your room will be ready, but it does give a heads up to the Cast Members at the Front Desk that you will be arriving in the morning.

Once you arrive at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, head straight to the Online Check-In Desk, where you may complete the process. If your room is ready, you can head straight there. If not, you should have the option to be notified of your room number via text when it's available.

Even if your room isn't ready, feel free to leave your luggage with Bell Services and enjoy your day! You could head straight to the parks and Disney Springs is just a boat ride away. Or you may enjoy a dip in the pool while you wait.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Renae! Please let us know if you have any other questions as you plan.
