Hi there, Michael!
Welcome to planDisney. The Western Caribbean voyages on the Disney Cruise Line are one of my favorite itineraries. You are going to have a great time!
I pack way too much for my family's Disney Cruises, but I cannot seem to stop myself! With pool attire, casual clothes, and dinner outfits, there are so many excuses to bring half of my closet. I am working on it, though! I recommend starting with the
Disney Cruise Line Packing List. It includes suggestions for your trip and also links to the
List of Prohibited and Restricted Items.
Below are the scheduled dress-up nights for your cruise (subject to change):
- Sunday - Port Canaveral - Casual
- Monday - At Sea - Optional Dress-Up
- Tuesday - Cozumel - Casual
- Wednesday - Grand Cayman - Pirate
- Thursday - At Sea - Casual
- Friday - Castaway Cay - Casual
- Saturday - Port Canaveral - Disembark
All dress-up days are optional, although I think they add extra fun to my family's Disney Cruises! On Pirate Night during our last cruise, my kids dressed up in pirate costumes from head to toe, while my spouse and I opted for pirate shirts and accessories.
Guests wear a variety of styles for their evening meals, ranging from casual to semi-formal. I usually wear a sundress while my husband often puts on a collared shirt. More information about the dining dress code can be found on this Disney Cruise Line page. The adult-only restaurants have more stringent dress codes, which can be found on the same page.
Michael, thank you again for contacting planDisney! Have a wonderful vacation!
Happy sailing!
Jen
